It is hard to imagine that there was a time when greeting cards printed on card or paper were the norm, and these were typically only sold in specialty stores and crafts shops. While traditional greeting cards remain a fairly popular choice for many people, there is no denying the massive impact that ecards such as the Blue Mountain card has brought to modern day greetings. It is actually quite remarkable how well the Blue Mountain card has managed to survive through the traditional greeting card phase to the modern day incarnation of the electronic greeting card. Much of the success of these cards has to do with their timeless messages and classic designs that successfully find an audience in subsequent generations, regardless of which trends are currently popular. Bearing more similarities than differences with the traditional greeting cards of yore, the Blue Mountain card nevertheless takes the greeting card paradigm several steps into the present.
