Proper brake service and repair should include an inspection of brake fluid for possible contamination from moisture and metal flakes. Contaminated fluid can adversely affect your calipers and wheel cylinders. Keep your metal on metal parts well lubricated in order to maintain an effective barrier between them. Do not let your technician top your brake fluid off, however. Too much fluid prevents the built in brake wear alert system from functioning properly.
